In a sudden twist, the police have said two teenagers, who went missing a month ago in the Solomade, Ikorodu area of Lagos State and were found in Ogun State last Saturday, ran away from home. The police said the boys ─ Daniel and Channing Odugbo ─ had slept with a 13-year-old member of their church and got her pregnant, adding that their escape was planned to avoid the victim’s family.

A 42-year-old man, Rafiu Olusamokun, is currently in the custody of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly producing fake foreign and local currencies, which allegedly run into millions of naira. Olusamokun, an indigene of Owo, Ondo State, was arrested by the police in his house at Ayidolapo Street, in the Ikotun area of the state.

“The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) wishes to inform Nigerians living in the North East and any other parts of the country to keep a lookout for Cluster Bombs sometimes called scatter bombs as the Nigerian Army Engineers serving in Adamawa State have recovered some catches of these bombs in the contested areas in recent time.

The Nigerian Army wishes to confirm an attack on Sector 1 of 27 Task Force Brigade located at Gaidam, Yobe State, yesterday Wednesday evening. The attack was successfully repelled by the troops and the reinforcement sent. The troops killed most of the attacking terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign one Jonathan Odu Isikwei for unlawful possession of 448 travellers Cheques. Isikwei 51, a native of Igbodo in Aniocha LGA of Delta state, was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos by the Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) during the outward clearance of passengers on a Belgium- bound flight. The case was transferred to the EFCC for further investigation.

Former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has denied reports of a missing N53 billion in the state treasury during his tenure as a governor of the statement.
